GRAMMY Camp St. Paul Blog: Jorge Murcia

Jorge Murcia, GRAMMY Camp St. Paul

Before coming to GRAMMY Camp, I had no idea what to expect. At first I thought I would be playing guitar with a whole variety of singer/songwriters, and there would be no other musicians who played my genre (jazz), but in indulging in the plethora of musicians and players, I had the time of my life integrating funk, jazz, blues, rock, rap..etc. into one piece of music, which was(in musical terms) KILLING! At GRAMMY Camp, there are so many opportunities to further your music career and establish a foundation to build it through your connections. This camp is not a fantasy camp; everything we learn here is REAL and hold true to the music industry of today(and future). By applying the concepts that are introduced at GRAMMY Camp to our musical progress, we can become successful musicians, innovators, and entrepreneurs. My experience here at GRAMMY Camp has been a seed of learning and passion that will expand and grow to new heights and take me where I have never been before.
