GRAMMY Camp St. Paul Blog: Ryan Peete

For the past eight days at GRAMMY Camp, I've become more inspired to pursue music as a career. First stepping on the McNally Smith campus, I had no idea what to expect. I knew that I would be busy, but I had no idea that I would learn so much about music. Attending this camp was easily one of the best decisions I have made. Never have I been around such talented people in my life, and I hope to stay in contact with these people for the rest of my life. Each person here has something really unique to offer.

Not only have I been surrounded by good people, but I have really grown as a songwriter. Now, I can write songs in a short period of time, work with a band on my songs, and use different literary devices in my lyrics. I have plans to continue to grow as a performer and as a songwriter in ways I've never thought about.

GRAMMY Camp is more than a regular music camp. This camp is here to inspire teenagers from across the nation. I learned that with the right tools, anybody can make a difference in the world.
