Students Selected For GRAMMY Camp in Nashville, New York and Los Angeles

The GRAMMY Foundation announced today that 132 talented high school students from 100 U.S. cities and 28 U.S. states have been selected as participants in the 11th annual GRAMMY Campprogram. Additionally, through a partnership with Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry, four international students from England and Japan will attend GRAMMY Camp in Los Angeles, bringing the total number of students attending all three of this year's GRAMMY Camps to 136.

The Foundation's signature music industry camp for U.S. high school students will be held in Nashville, Tenn., from June 1–5 at Belmont University; Los Angeles from June 20–29 at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music; and in New York from Aug. 2–10 at Converse Rubber Tracks (in Brooklyn). This GRAMMY in the Schools® program is supported by Best Buy, Converse and Journeys. Additional program support is provided by Mrs. Mike Silverman, Hot Topic Foundation, RBC Foundation USA, and other individual donors.

"From its first summer 11 years ago through today, I've seen the GRAMMY Foundation's GRAMMY Camp grow into a hallmark program that gives young people a truly immersive summer learning experience," said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy® and the GRAMMY Foundation. "Not only do GRAMMY Campers build lasting friendships, but they live and learn lasting lessons about how to seriously pursue a career in the music industry."

Applications for GRAMMY Camp 2016 will be online later this summer at www.grammyintheschools.com. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2016. Financial aid is available and approximately 90 percent of GRAMMY Camp participants who have applied for financial aid have received assistance.
